Why I am into Japanese tea

Since my childhood, Japanese tea has been an indispensable part of my daily life. There was a period where I was engrossed in coffee and Chinese tea as well. However, in the end, I find myself closest to Japanese tea, always taking it with me when I travel. The trigger was my inability to brew gyokuro, a type of fine green tea, skillfully. I wondered, “Why does it taste like this even though I’m brewing it as usual?” From that moment, my pursuit of deepening my knowledge in Japanese tea began, and as I learned, I encountered the qualification of becoming a Japanese Tea Instructor.

After obtaining the certification, I had the fortunate opportunity to collaborate with IKKYU (@ikkyu_tea), a company that exports and sells Japanese tea and teaware produced in Kyushu, and have been primarily involved in promoting Japanese tea in France. Recently, I have also started learning about Chinese tea.
